#commUNiTY Arts Contests
The Bay Six Project's Arts initiative aims to showcase Ohio Valley student's artistic abilities. Every quarter we will have a new contest with a new theme.
The theme for September 2021 is:
" What I have observed in the last year"
All artists will be asked to create an art piece that best visually describes "What I have observed in the last year". Especially after what they have been through since March of 2020
Please make sure to check the correct box of the category for the artwork that you will be submitting when filling out the registration form. We limit each artist to submit artwork in just one category per month.
The categories that you can enter your artwork under are:
Drawing
Painting
Photography
Short Film
Full descriptions for each category are listed below (on the form).
We have two age groups again (We may add more if number of registrants creates the need to separate based off of number of submissions):
12 & under* (Kindergarten is the youngest*)
13 to 18* years old (any high school senior graduating in 2022 is eligible through the Summer 2022 contests, even if they turn 19 before graduating*).
We also wanted to clarify the home area(s) in which artists can be from to submit.

All artists must complete the form and have their art pieces delivered to The Bay Six Project 618 Commercial St. Mingo Junction, OH 43938 by Friday October 15, 2021.
We will then have your art on display for the public to view online to vote on their favorite pieces from October 18 - 23, 2021*.
The winners will be announced October 24, 2021.
*$50 Prize for each category*

*If we are able to be open to the public, we will have a gallery at our building. If not, we will do an Online Gallery during the same time period.
